Certificates in Safe Client Handling

For over 15 years Therapy Professionals has worked for people with disabilities, while assisting their carers in Safe Client Handling. We offer a number of Certificates in Safe Client Handling.

The Basic Certificate is designed to meet the core requirements of the ACC/OSH Patient Handling Guidelines. Further certification is available for the safe handling co-ordinators and mentors in the workplace.

Makaton

Makaton is a form of Sign Language, which provides a basic means of communication and encourages language development in children and adults with learning and communication difficulties.

The signs represent key concepts, to support NOT replace speech.

The 6-hour long Makaton course is designed for primary carers, teacher aids, family members ie people who have frequent contact with adults with communication and learning difficulties and who play a significant role in their daily lives.
